La Fortuna

(note: not sure what happened, it was published a few years ago but went to drafts and had to re publish)

Enjoy the ride…

Early morning. Red eyes

Cost: Shuttle bus from Tamarindo to La Fortuna $44 USD

The ride from Tamarindo started off nice but the winding and bumpy road got me turning sick.

La Fortuna
that cloud did not want to leave

I had a wonderful time in La Fortuna. I’ll just list the things I did and show some pictures. Deal?

Ate. I walked around. Saw some water falls. Sat in some hot springs. Ate a weird lemon/orange fruit. Died horse back riding. Applied some volcano mud on my face. Rope Jumping.

This little horse adventure needs some text. I ended up being the only person on the tour, me plus two tour guides. I was on the ranch owners horse and I assumed that this would easy based on the tours description. This was no easy walk in the park, I got blisters holding onto my dear life.

In between the tour.

The two tour guides are were to being on a horse so they were frequently ahead of me and because of that my horse wanted to start walking faster to catch up. From a scale of 1 being easy to 10 being hard, it was a 6. But when my horse started to gallop up and down hill, I was picturing how I should brace my fall. From a scale of 1 being easy to 10 being hard, it was a 15.

The two hour ish tour finished *applause*

that smile on my face was not prepared for what was ahead of me

Other side stories.

  • I wanted to take out cash from the bank, well, due to Semana Santa the ATM ran out of money.
  • Found my love of rice pudding.
