Mostar

When you do a quick internet search on Mostar, the majority of the images that show up will be of the bridge above, called Stari Most. Translated to Old Bridge.

The original bridge that once stood there was built in the 16th-Century by the Ottomans.

The material used to craft the arch on the bridge is called tenelija.

The stairs are very slippery so take your time even more so when going down.

 

During the summer, there is an annual diving competition that takes places. Where might they dive off from? Well.. off the bridge, into the cold water!
