When in Berlin, where does one start?

After embarking the 25 hour bus ride I finally arrived in Berlin. I dropped off my extra luggage in a storage room at the bus station. I gave the cab the address to my cousins.

Problem.

I got dropped off and the surroundings did not look the same from the last time I visited in 2012. I started to walk around and took some 30 plus minutes to find some cafe with WiFi.

I ordered some food and started to BBM my sister to figure out what happened with the address. Considering the time zone difference, I managed to get a hold of her after sending multiple bings.

After messaging back and forth we figured out the two sets of numbers were flipped around..

Lesson: Write down all the addresses in a book and make sure they are correct.

The owner lady was not happy that I was charging my electronics. I packed up and started to walk towards the correct address.

During my little mission, I set up a German sim card for my phone.

I sat down at another cafe. Had to pay 50 cents to charge my phone. (Looked like a fancy cafe and then there was smelly me with my backpack)

YAY Finally arrived at my cousins.

Decided to do the free walking tour in the afternoon.

Shortly after I found the meeting point, I met a new friend.

Lets call her Suzy.

 

 

 

 

After hanging out the majority of the day, we decided to meet later at Suzy’s hostel for a night out.

Lesson: DO NOT wear heels when clubbing in Berlin unless you know it’s a fancy schmancy place .

11 PM ish I arrived at the hostel in the Neukolln.

The four of us when out to Club Soda. After spending a couple of hours we left the club and started to look for another one. Around 4 AM we were waiting in line to enter another club.

We got in. Unfortunately the English-speaking guys in front of us weren’t so lucky. One too many guys and no girls with them, they got denied entry.

The night (day) came to an end. When I arrived at the last U Bahn stop, I walked above ground and did the best thing ever!

I took off my heels and walked bared foot.

Lucky me, there was only the 8AM viewing available.
